Empowering Women and Promoting Unity

The Real African Housewives of Greater Manchester enhance social cohesion by empowering vulnerable African women in the area through high-quality accommodation, wellbeing sessions, educational opportunities, and cultural awareness programmes. The organisation aims to facilitate access to accommodation for women who have experienced or are experiencing grief and hardship in all stages of their lives. In order to achieve its goals, the RAHWM, in partnership with other organisations, strives to provide a united voice and advocate for the interests and advancement of African people in Greater Manchester. We offer educational support and job creation programmes for African women, cultivating their self-esteem and empowering them to make positive contributions to the community.

The organisation works with various community groups, faith organisations, and statutory agencies to ensure African communities are included in the decision-making process. Through this collaboration, we seek to reduce isolation, provide community support, and facilitate meaningful connections between African women in Greater Manchester. Additionally, The Real African Housewives of Greater Manchester strive to highlight and preserve African culture through various awareness-raising activities, such as traditional dance and food shows. By fostering connections between African women and other cultural groups, the RAHWM hopes to promote a better understanding of African culture, build bridges of understanding, and facilitate a more cohesive community.

Finally, the organisation is committed to collecting and managing donations of used clothing, shoes, and other accessories for the benefit of needy African women in the community. By raising awareness of this cause and supporting it through donations, we believe that it can have a significant impact on the lives of women in need. So far, the RAHWM has made an incredible difference in the lives of African women in Greater Manchester. By cultivating a strong and united voice, improving the quality of life for African women, and by philanthropic efforts, the organisation has demonstrated the power of collective action in making a positive change.
