The Real African Housewives of Greater Manchester (RAHWM) enhances social cohesion by empowering women who need quality accommodation and who have experienced or are experiencing grieve in all stages. 


We achieve our goals by running outreach services that aims to facilitate access to accommodation for vulnerable women within the community and we provide wellbeing sessions. The RAHWM works in partnership with other organisation to provide a united voice, strong enough to advocate for the interests and advancement of African people living in the Greater Manchester, encouraging our people and African organisations to play a full, efficient, and participatory role in public life.

Our Objectives

  • Providing a strong and united voice for our community in the Greater Manchester dealing with statutory agencies and services in the Greater Manchester

  • Promoting cooperation and integration of our people in the Greater Manchester. Promoting cooperation, consensus, and unity among us both in the Greater Manchester for later date. Engaging and educate other Africans, ESOL and non-Africans about our culture and civilisation through partnerships and awareness raising events to develop a better understanding of our culture.

  • Promoting a position for our community within British society that is fair and based on due rights, tackling disadvantage and discrimination.

  • Pursuing any other activities that shall safeguard the interests, progress, and welfare of its members.

  • In pursuance of its aims and objectives, the group shall adopt a non-partisan approach to politics and religion.
